About me

Hi, my name is Lotte and I am in my (very early, haha) 30's. I am a cat mom to Finn & Kirk. We live in Den Helder, The Netherlands and I have been working at the local cinema since I was 17.

My cooking style is mostly Asian inspired, my baking is just comforting foods. Just give me a springroll and a muffin and I'm happpy!

My relationship with food wasn't always a good one. As a kid/teen, I actually disliked so many foods, I was very underweight (also really tall, 180cm, so that looked weird). I just didn't like to eat anything. Not that my mom can't cook, she was always trying to mix up her recipes to accommodate to my taste. That's hard with a family of 5. Sometimes she cooked separate things just to get me to eat something.

At 18 or so, I started to try more things, and found out I actually loved to eat some things!

Only when i moved into my first apartment at 23, I started playing around with different styles. Discovering something new every week!

My mother's cooking style was so different than what i actually liked to eat. So it was a whole new world (insert Aladdin song) for me. 

Since, I have perfected a jumbo muffin recipe, a brownie recipe and the best slowcooked chicken recipe! I would love to open my own foodtruck one day. For now, I can only dream.
